Blast furnaces and hot-blast stoves
Since 1951 Heat station Ostrava inc. has realized tens of buildings

and repairs of furnace lining and air heaters in terms of smelting works in the teritory of the Czech republic, Slovakia, Germany and Russia.
Among the most considerable customers on this field belongs New Smeltery Ostrava inc., Vítkovice inc. and Metalworks Třinec inc.

Hot-blast stoves
Teplotechna Ostrava, a.s. employees have carried out more than 100 repairs of those plants, at home as well as abroad, during the existence of the company.
In 1999 there were implemented linings of hot-blast stoves in Třinecké železárny, a.s. designed by DME DIDIER.
These hot-blast stoves are characterized by higher temperature of heating, better efficiency, and significantly lower emissions in flue gasses.

Blast furnaces
Providing technical and consulting assistance already in the preparation stage is a matter of course.
Blast furnaces belong to traditional works carried out by Teplotechna Ostrava, a.s.. For lining blast furnace tuyeres we have been using mainly a material called TEKOR 90.

It is a heat resistant material developed and manufactured by our company. It is characteristic for its high heat and abrasion resistance and thus it offers longer service life of this very intensively stressed part of blast furnaces lining. We carry out linings of hot-blast stoves for blast furnaces with built-in combustion shaft as well as with separated combustion shaft. The combustion shaft lining is very intensively exposed to high temperatures with relatively frequent temperature fluctuations. State-of-the-art materials are used in their design.
