Basic material
- mats of aluminium-silicate fibres, SIBRAL
Manufacture
- melting of Al2O3 and SiO2 in electrical furnace
- disintegration of the melt by rotating
- out of quite long fibres, a stabbed mat is produced without any other bonding agent being used (excellent coherence of the mat is achieved)
Two types available:
- STANDARD (1,260 °C)
- SUPER (1,430 °C)
