Fibre modules

Basic material
  • mats of aluminium-silicate fibres, SIBRAL

Manufacture
  • melting of Al2O3 and SiO2 in electrical furnace
  • disintegration of the melt by rotating
  • out of quite long fibres, a stabbed mat is produced without any other bonding agent being used (excellent coherence of the mat is achieved)

Two types available:
  • STANDARD (1,260 °C)
  • SUPER (1,430 °C)
